Svalbard 2015

Protect     Preserve     Inform     Inspire

In 2015 Cathy and I took a trip to Svalbard in the arctic to photograph polar bears. For 10 days we lived on an ice-strengthened research vessel. In addition to polar bears we saw so much more; reindeer, walrus, seals, and birds galore. We also returned with a new respect for the arctic and the diversity of life at 80° N. However, upon return we decided to move from California to Washington. In the frenzy of looking for a new home and selling our existing home we hardly ever even looked at our photos from Svalbard. It is over 5 years later and the Covid-19 pandemic has finally given us time to review the photos. Better late than never. Hope you enjoy them.
